Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy covers our use of cookies and seeks to inform visitors to the www.ofi-invest-am.com website (hereinafter the “Website”) published by our company (hereinafter the “Publisher”) of the use made of cookies on the website (hereinafter “Cookie(s)”) and the procedure for objecting to them. It supplements the information provided in the information banner displayed on the Website (hereinafter the “Banner”) and the consent management tool for installing cookies (hereinafter the “Consent Management Tool”).
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a computer file, a tracker, that is installed and read when a user visits a website or mobile application, regardless of the type of terminal being used (computer, smartphone, mobile phone, etc.).
Our Website uses the following cookie technologies:
- HTTP cookies (or browser cookies): all information installed on your terminal’s hard drive (computer, telephone, tablet, etc.) by a server when you visit a website. It is stored in a subdirectory of your browser folder and then sent to the server each time you submit a new request.
- Flash cookies (or local shared objects): all information installed on your terminal’s hard drive by a server when you visit a website and managed by the Adobe Flash Player extensions module. It is stored in a subdirectory of the Adobe Flash Player extensions module folder and then sent to the server each time you submit a new request.
- Web beacons (or spy pixels): computer code telling your browser to send a request to a server that will retain the identifying information relating to the source of this request (mainly by retaining the IP address) and that will install on your terminal’s hard drive a small transparent image along with other HTTP and/or Flash cookies. Web beacons are image files stored in a subdirectory of your browser folder.
- JavaScript code execution: fragments of computer code in JavaScript language received following a request sent to a server and executed by your browser to gather information about your terminal and about how it is used.
The use of cookies on websites or mobile applications is governed by specific regulations, primarily article 82 of France’s Information Technology, Data Files and Civil Liberties Act n°78-17 of 6 January 1978 (hereinafter the “Loi informatique et libertés”). According to these provisions, and barring certain exceptions, a website must obtain the consent of the user, who will have been informed beforehand, prior to installing and/or activating cookies.
What types of cookies do we use?
This website uses cookies for different purposes, falling into the following categories:
- Category 1: “essential” technical and/or functionality cookies (mandatory)
These cookies are solely used to carry out or facilitate electronic transmission of communications and/or are strictly necessary to provide an online communications service on the user’s explicit request. They enable us, for instance, to offer you a better online experience of our Website, retain your preferred settings when you use the Website, find out whether you consent or object to the installing of non-essential cookies, and ensure the Website’s security procedures are functioning properly.
Such cookies do not require the user’s consent as they are essential to ensure the Website functions properly, in accordance with article 82 of the Loi Informatique et Libertés. They are therefore activated by default and cannot be deactivated by means of the consent management tool. - Category 2: audience measurement cookies (non-essential)
These cookies give us a better understanding of the way in which visitors interact with our Website, enabling us to identify the pathways that have led them to the Website, identify the segments of the Website that are viewed most or least, and generate anonymous statistics about how the Website is used, which in turn enables us to improve it and the services it offers. Not activating these cookies would prevent us from analysing the way visitors interact with our Website and from subsequently offering them the type of content they expect.
These cookies require the user’s prior consent according to the terms and conditions set out in the paragraph “What is the procedure for objecting to the use of cookies?”. - Category 3: advertising cookies (non-essential)
These cookies make it possible to personalise the advertisements displayed online to our Website’s users according to their interests. Not activating these cookies would not reduce the frequency of advertisements displayed to you when browsing but would prevent them from being personalised according to your interests.
These cookies require the user’s prior consent according to the terms and conditions set out in the paragraph “What is the procedure for objecting to the use of cookies?”. - Category 4: social media cookies (non-essential)
These cookies enable our Website’s visitors to interact with the social media modules present on the Website and may collect information about their web browsing habits. Not activating these cookies would prevent you from interacting with social media via our Website.
These cookies require the user’s prior consent according to the terms and conditions set out in the paragraph “What is the procedure for objecting to the use of cookies?”.
How long are cookies stored?
Once installed on your terminal, cookies may be stored:
- until the end of the browsing session that is underway, i.e. until you close your browser (session cookies). This lifespan concerns “essential” technical and/or functionality cookies (mandatory), as well as audience measurement cookies.
- for a preset period starting from the date and time the cookie is installed on your terminal: storage time cannot exceed thirteen (13) months (persistent cookies).
The lifespan of each type of cookie is specified in the paragraph below “List of cookies currently used on our website”.
What is the procedure for objecting to the use of cookies?
An “Accept all” button gives the user’s consent to activate all cookies used on the website.
Clicking on “Continue without accepting” means that you object to the activation of all cookies used on the website (other than “essential” cookies which do not require consent). By selecting “Continue without accepting”, you are deemed to be declining the cookies.
A “Customise my settings” button gives you access to the consent management table offering users the option to manage their preferences by category (according to the purpose of each type of cookie). Settings are customised using toggles. The toggle for “essential” cookies is activated by default and cannot be deactivated. Toggles corresponding to other cookie purposes are deactivated by default and can be activated by the user.
With the exception of cookies that do not require a user’s consent (i.e. technical and functionality cookies), cookies on the website can only be installed and/or activated if the user has agreed either to the use of all cookies (“Accept all” button) or to the use of the category of cookies specifically concerned (“Customise my settings” button).
How can you modify your preferred settings?
Your settings are determined based on an essential cookie (i.e. not subject to consent) with a lifespan of 6 months. You will again be asked to select your preferences once this cookie has expired.
You are also free to customise your settings at any time using the consent management tool displayed on the bottom right-hand side of the webpage.
Processing of personal data collected through the use of cookies
In cases where a user’s personal data has been collected by a cookie, processing of this data is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (also known as GDPR) - Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 - and the Loi Informatique et Libertés of 1978 as amended.
